AT&T stores now offering early upgrade pricing on iPhone 3G
In the latest move aimed at helping Apple clear inventory of iPhone 3Gs ahead of new models anticipated this spring, AT&T retail stores are now offering some customers early upgrades to the Apple handset at subsidized pricing.
i.TV 1.4 adds U-verse support, speed enhancements
i.TV has launched version 1.4 of its TV and movie guide for the iPhone and iPod touch. The update provides AT&T U-verse listings for all coverage areas, and more support for Comcast customers, including video-on-demand information and other material. Stability and speed improvements have also been made; the latter cut the start-up time for the app roughly in half, and double active running speed....

As of yesterday, Apple has made iPhones available at their stores to customers not wanting to sign a contract. The 8 GB version will run you $599, and the 16GB is $699. To activate your iPhone, you can do so through iTunes.
Much of the speculation is that Apple is trying to dump all the stock they have in time for the release of their new iPhone. I don’t think the price points help that matter any, but that’s just my opinion.

VOIP for iPhone is the dream of many a user, and Om Malik suggests that it might be days away. Citing a "...very reliable source," Om says that Skype is ready to launch their iPhone app, perhaps at next week's CTIA Wireless event.That's whole lot of "suggests" and "might" and "perhaps," is it not? Frankly, I don't see why Apple or AT&T would be keen on Skype for the iPhone or iPod touch. Of course, here are other VOIP options available, like fring and iCall (among others), so what do I know? It's an interesting rumor, but for now, that's all.
