Dell Is Preparing the Launch of a Xeon Nehalem-based PC Model
According to Engadget, Dell is currently preparing the update of its PC Precision series, and should offer Xeon Nehalem-based model, the same CPU used in the new Mac Pro.
- The T3500 model will sport only one CPU, and support up to 24 GB of RAM. Starting price will be 999 USD. It is not clear if hte starting model will be powered by a Xeon, or by a Core i7.
- The T5500 model will be powered by two Xeon and will support up to 72 GB of RAM. Starting price would be 1620 USD.
- The high-end T7500 model, will also be sporting two Xeon, but one could be able to install up to 192 GB or RAM. Starting price in this case will be 1800 USD.
If it is too early compare the price Mac Pro with models from Dell, as configurations are not accessible yet, one can play a simple game, and try to identify which of the following two computers illustrate Dell's skill for integration?

Seagate unveiled a new NAS model, the BlackArmor. Beside its performance and its support for up to 4 HDs, specifications indicate that it will soon be available with 8 TB storage space (8 TB = 4 x 2 TB). In other words, Seagate will soon join Western Digital as the second manufacturer of 2 TB HD. It might even be the first 2 TB HD spinning at 7200 rpm, however, there is no define release date.
